Seeing as they are supposed to be shunned in Kirkwall how does it effect my character in terms of regaining nobility and getting the "champion title" during the story? How is the story different in Dragon Age 2 if you choose mage?
only differnce is your brother lives and sister dies
as for choices later on that will decide what happens to you
weather at the end you are begged to be vice count or force to run for your life

Dragon Age 2 Where are the dead bodies in the docks and lowtown?
I found the one in darktown but that's it. Also is the final dark tome on the wounded coast?Dragon Age 2 Where are the dead bodies in the docks and lowtown?
You have to go during the night and talk to some thugs.Dragon Age 2 Where are the dead bodies in the docks and lowtown?
I'm still trying to figure out the Docks one... I've searched high and low and I just cannot find it. but I found the Lowtown one. Go there at night, to the residential area (near where you used to live) and it's right there! Then it will tell you where to get rid of the body.

Question about building a dragon age 2 warrior?
When building a 2 handed warrior, should I use the specialization skill for berserk only?
Or dabble into beserk and reaver?Question about building a dragon age 2 warrior?
I personally dabbled, since both classes had it's must have abilities, and those which should never be employed. Just realize that your specialization point must be used to open the class, but it doesn't mean you have to invest any ability points. If you already know that templar isn't for you, pick berserk first and grab reaver just to keep the little level up arrow from hovering over your character's portrait.Question about building a dragon age 2 warrior?
you get a specialization point at lv. 7 and another at 14
I never liked the templar specialization in Origins but It really comes in handy around the end in DA2
also reaver is pretty cool,
you can get some quick health with 'devour'

Is Dragon Age 2 a good game or not?
I liked dragon age origins but i dont know if i want to get dragon age 2 or not. Please give me a pros and cons list because all of the reviews i have read didnt give me any good information. Thanks for any answers. Is Dragon Age 2 a good game or not?
In my opinion, it was better than origins in some ways, and worse in others.
PROS:
-Better graphics.
-Your character talks and has expressions.
-Lots and lots of quests, which makes the game seem longer.
-The plot is very deep and engaging
-The friendship system is a little different. It's friendship/rivalry points versus approve/disapprove. I liked it better.
-They have day/night options now.
-The way you fight is SO MUCH BETTER. I can't really explain how it's better, but you would know what I mean if you played it.
CONS:
-It gave you the illusion of choice. At the end of origins, you really had a choice in how the game turned out. But in DA2, no matter what, you end up with practically the same ending.
-Lots of bugs.
-Became very lazy with settings. Every cave you go into is the same cave, every house you go into is the same house... etc.
-You can't just randomly talk to your companions anymore. You can really only talk to them at the beginning of an act (there are three), after a companion quest, or if you have a gift specific to them.
I personally loved this game, regardless of its flaws. My suggestion is to buy it and play it. I have already played through it three times and I love it.Is Dragon Age 2 a good game or not?
the battle system has changed a lot. it is more of an action adventure game now. the visuals have been refined and it is pleasant to look at. i do not believe the main story to be as engaging as origins. i think the draw of a knights of the old republic style game was what many people enjoyed about the first one. get used to the town you arrive in in the beginning in DA2 because you will spend A LOT of time there. good luck! definitely worth a gamefly or rent but not as good.

I have WAY more than that!! PLEASE ANYONE HELP. How do I fix this?I lost all of my dragon age origins saves! After importing them over to dragon age 2.?
You probably DON'T have enough room. You should clear up some space in your hard drive by deleting games you don't play.

You can play Crysis if you want to on that damn thing. (If you weren't sure, if it plays Crysis, it plays anything). I'd reckon you'd be sitting pretty (Maybe not Ultra settings, but atleast medium) for 5 or 6 years.

Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
I've played Dragon age 1: Origins + Awakening for the PS3 and I was wondering if I should get Dragon Age 2 now. Is it worth getting? Is it any better than the first one.
Also can I import my character over to the 2nd one?Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
Dragon Age 2 is a single player role-playing game (RPG) for play on the Xbox 360. Epic sequel to the BioWare developed 2009 Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II continues the adventure with a new hero, Hawke, and utilizes the choices made by the player to affect a story that spans ten years worth of time in-game. Additional game features include: the ability to choose your character's class and sex, a new cinematic in-game experience, a nonlinear narrative and the ability to import saved information from earlier Dragon Age games.
@@@Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
I say yes, I found it to be fun but reviews have said it splits fan to either liking the new layout or hating it. I personally liked the way it worked and felt it better than the first, felt more in depth.
You can NOT import characters, but you can import the past storyline and that effects how the new one plays out.Should I get Dragon Age 2 for the PS3?
erm..i read that its betterr than Origins so yea i guess you shud get it..
you may want to read this review on it which i find covered most of the main points and elements..might help you (:

Can I hack Isabela into my Dragon Age 2 game if I forgot to recruit her?
So I spent a lot of time in Act 1, but I completely forgot to find and recruit Isabel. I'm now in Act 2 and I just realized this. I know that she doesn't play a significant role in the game and I won't use her much, but I would still like to have her as an option. Are there any console commands that can let me add her to my team? By the way, I'm playing the PC version. Can I hack Isabela into my Dragon Age 2 game if I forgot to recruit her?
Yes you can hack her inside. Activate the game's console (google it if you dont know how) then press ~...dont worry if no text line is visible, just type in runscript zz_isa_debug. A dialogue with isabela's debug options should appear...now navigate to the plot points..and chose the "go to plot"..or something like that...choose chapter 1 and then teleport to the point where Isabela confronts the guy in her personal quest.
You should now find yourself in the middle of a fight, just finish it, and isabela will be in your party. Can I hack Isabela into my Dragon Age 2 game if I forgot to recruit her?
you might try asking or checking out a dragon age 2 forum,if there is a code for her some one there may know it or know where to find it.hope this helps.good luck.

There is usually a big cut scene with Gamlen and the Chantry seeker talking between acts. Kind of like an intermission, then the narration continues, a few years pass and Gamlen fills us in on what happened in between
*Slight Spoilers*
Prologue ends with joining the Mercenaries or thieves
Act 1 ends with conclusion to the Deep roads expedition
Act 2 ends with the "confrontation" with the Arishock, When it happens you'll know what I mean.
Act 3 ends - well it the end of the game can't miss is when it happens.
It's a bit too obvious when an Act is over.

In dragon age 2 can you be a mage and support the chantry?
I want to be a mage in dragon age 2 for my 2nd play through and on my first play through I supported the mages. I was just wondering, if I become a mage does.it automatically force me to support the mages, or can I make an alliance with the chantry and meridethIn dragon age 2 can you be a mage and support the chantry?
You can indeed, though it seems weird. You are not forced to support any faction or any action at all. Some quests will have different outcomes for you. The dialog will certainly be different. If you were rogue or warrior in the first play through, you will get Carver instead of Bethany playing a mage.
This was the biggest change. Carver is an entirely different character from his twin. I'm on my 3rd play through, now as a male Hawke Mage and it's certainly a hard role to play once you already know what the chantry has been up to in Kirkwall. In dragon age 2 can you be a mage and support the chantry?
I supported the Templars on my warrior but I was sympathetic towards the mages on some choices. On my 2nd play through I will be a mage and support the mages. You should have done that instead. It wouldn't really make sense for a mage to support the templars lol. Or Make your 3rd play through a rogue and support the magesIn dragon age 2 can you be a mage and support the chantry?
the "point" in the game is to do whatever you want
so yes you can

I played as a mage that supported the Templars. It's perfectly possible.

I am in Act 2 and have not completed "Dissent" yet.In Dragon Age 2, I chose to not pursue a relationship with Anders. Is it possible to rekindle it?
Did you outright reject him? If you get his friendship... meter thing high enough by siding with mages on various quests, post-Dissent he might still try to kiss you.
I never rejected any of his advances, so I'm not sure. :BIn Dragon Age 2, I chose to not pursue a relationship with Anders. Is it possible to rekindle it?

Im in the hanged man bit I don't see her "suite" do I have to wait till act 2 or something? How do I get isabela to sleep with hawk in dragon age 2? I?
I agree with the lady above me...it is easy to get Isabella. The only thing is don't wait for her at the hanged man, go to your mansion and that is where you get busy. How do I get isabela to sleep with hawk in dragon age 2? I?
It's SOOOOOOOO easyyyyy! You just talk to her enough and chose the dialogue with the hearts and then BOOM. She was the first one I slept with in the game. She's kind of like the Zevran of DA 2 - there's not a lot you can do to piss her off. Just say the right things and you're in her pants. How do I get isabela to sleep with hawk in dragon age 2? I?
yes, whenever you are in dialogue with her choose the option with the heart. Eventually you'll be able to tame that wild beast ;)

Two questions in Dragon Age 2 how do you fight Arishok one on one?
1. How do you fight Arishok one on one I never got that option. And I saw in a video on youtube that Isabella shows up with the book. But in my game Isabella never shows up. Earlier in the game I told Isabella to keep the book. Is that why?
2. And why cant I use my health potion when my health gets low while facing Arishok and his gang of Quinari. I die every time. Two questions in Dragon Age 2 how do you fight Arishok one on one?
First, the Arishok *must* confer the title of "Bas alit'an" on you. It's a respect thing - he won't find you worthy of the trouble otherwise. Then, there are two ways to force the one on one duel:
1) Your friendship or rivalry is high enough with Isabela, and she returns to the throne room confrontation with the book. The Arishok accepts the book, but will take Isabela, too. When Hawke protests, he offers instead the option to duel for Isabela's fate.
2) Isabela skips out (friendship/rivalry insufficient to return), but Fenris is in the party. Fenris knows the Qun, and he will argue with the Arishok that by naming you "Bas alit'an" he's given you the right to settle a disagreement by combat.
Other than that, recommend you gear up with +Nature damage and/or +Cold damage, as these are what qunari are most vulnerable to. The cool down on potions are rather long, but there is also a bug which doesn't allow you to use a potion when the cool down has expired. You may have to click elsewhere on the screen or select something else until it releases.
Either way, the Arishok does massive damage with his impalement attack. Stay out of his reach as much as possible and don't be too proud to run. Kite him around the columns in the room and only attack when you have the best chance of getting quickly out of his way. Also, keep moving to avoid his charge, but when he stops at the end of it, you will have a second to two to jump in and hit him with some damage.
Good luck! Two questions in Dragon Age 2 how do you fight Arishok one on one?
Not sure on your first question, however your second question seems kind of weird. Honestly the best tactic against the Arishok is to run, a LOT, even as a warrior you can't take his massive blows without a break. During my fight, I had to keep moving, using grenades to occasionally stun him, and use health potions from my circle menu while the game was in soft-pause. Only attack the Arishok face to face when you either have full health, or when he's stunned and can't retaliate. Two questions in Dragon Age 2 how do you fight Arishok one on one?
1. If Fenris is in your party he can negotiate the duel. The Arishok only offers the duel willingly if during your encounters with him you earned his respect. Isabela only comes back if your friendship or rivalry is high enough. She is gone for good otherwise.
2. Health potions have a very long cooldown. You need to keep a character with low health running until you can use them again. Anders is also useful since he is the only healer.
1) Massive spoilers...
Arishok is only available to fight one on one if you have high enough respect with him. You have to choose the "good" options, tell him Isabella has the book, talk nice about him behind his back, all that sort of stuff. Isabella only comes back if your friendship is high enough with her, otherwise she is out of the game for good. If you max your friendship with her, she returns, and you duel the Arishok for her life.
2) No idea why you can't use your health potion, maybe the cooldown hasn't reset yet? I didn't have that problem. *shrug*

*shrug*
Does the background info make any difference with Dragon Age 2?
I was about to start the game, but our PS3 broke and we had to get a new one so now I don't have the save data from the original Dragon Age. I've already played the game through 3 times, I don't really want to do it again. Does the background info make any difference in the story line?Does the background info make any difference with Dragon Age 2?
There are some small differences in dialogue, cut scenes, and quests. Nothing major though. There are 3 default states you can choose from during character creation. One of those is likely close to one of your old saves.Does the background info make any difference with Dragon Age 2?

Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
For some reason, I can't stick to just one character and I keep creating new ones. The farthest I have gotten is to about halfway into ACT 2 and then I make a new character. Once that character gets through most of ACT 1, I make a new one. What are things that I could do stick with one character? I would very much like to actually beat this game.
Also, I like all character classes so the problem isn't "because I don't like being a rogue."Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Buy the black emporium DLC. It gives you access to a mirror that lets you change your appearance whenever you want and potions that let you reset your points/abilities or the points/abilities of your companions. If you ever decide you don't like your character you can just go make the changes you want without losing any game progress.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
I find a 2 handed warrior and a mage to be fun. The problem I found with DA2 is that it is veryyyyyy boring in the beginning I think you should just stick with it longer and it will start to pick up and get funner.
Another reason being that you will find a lot of cooler weapons, armor and items the farther you get.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Well I would turn up the difficulty so it's a little harder so u tend to keep playing and not get bored because your runnin them over with mad skills and I found that the Mage is much more fun to play as because if kind is hated and u can blast foes away with man magic attacks u just go to get into it man I hope this helps
Break a bone every time you try to make a new character.

Did I do something wrong with romancing Fenris in Dragon Age 2?
Im playing DA2 on my ps3 and Im on act 3 now. I did everything right in act 2 flirted and everything. Im in a rivalmance with him. I did the quest for his sister and apparently your supposed to go to his mansion or yours and start up a scene where he asks for forgiveness. Im not getting this scene. Did I do something wrong? Do I have to give him his second present before I do this quest? I have my rivalry with him pretty high.Did I do something wrong with romancing Fenris in Dragon Age 2?
It might be because you are extreme rivals, but it may not be that. Before he meets you at your place you have to go to his place and talk to him after the events with his sister, and show interest in him. He should tell you he isn't ready or something like that blah blah blah. Then after that when you go to you house it should trigger a scene.if you have already talked to him at his house then idk :-/. i didn't have a problem romancing him but i also had a high friendship with him.
I hope that was slightly helpful..Did I do something wrong with romancing Fenris in Dragon Age 2?
I haven't personally romanced Fenris, but I did romance Isabella and the cutscene with her happened back in act two when I went to my house, sometime before the fight with the Qunari. You also must have full friendship or full rivalry with the person you are romancing. As for when in the game, I don't know if it matters what act you are in or not, but everything I have read talks about romancing in the second act. Hope this helps.

Do you need to have played dragon age origins 1 to understand dagon age 2?
I've recently just watched Filicia Day's Dragon Age: Redemption, and thought it was amazing! So for dragon age origins, do you need to play the first one to understand what is going on in the second one? Just because the second one is the most up to date so I would probably get that one, or are they completely different stories? I've never played either before as you can probably tell. Thank-you! RachelxxxDo you need to have played dragon age origins 1 to understand dagon age 2?
No, you can understand DA2 just fine without playing DAO. There are a few neat little references to the first game, though, plus some old characters show up.
In my opinion, even though you don't have to, you should still play them in order. DAO gives you a HUGE understanding of the way the world works. The status of the mages, the Dalish, elves in general, etc. Plus, once you complete DAO, you can upload all the decisions (and believe me, there are a LOT of unique decisions that have impact on the second game) when creating your character in DA2, so that all the things you made happen in the first game apply in the second, and characters react to this, personally I got all nostalgic but that's just me.
Also: If you do play DAO, download the expansion Awakening, since there's a further three very important characters you meet there who are in DA2, plus there's a few more things that impact, and also it's just a fun game in general, consideing it's a DLC.
DAO is my favourite game, ever, and I strongly recommend you play it before DA2. Even though it's not necessary, if you want to get the best out of the series, that's the way to go.
Ps: Hope you enjoy it!

How do I upgrade my Dell inspiron 15 so I can run games like Dragon age and Bad company 2.?
The graphics card is integrated so I dont think I can just replace it. I installed dragon age and it runs awful even with all the settings turned to the lowest quality. Im looking for any solution. How do I upgrade my Dell inspiron 15 so I can run games like Dragon age and Bad company 2.?
There is no solution... at least no solution you will like.
You cannot upgrade that laptop to meet the recommended system requirements. Your only option is to replace it with a better laptop.
Seriously.
There is no Video Card you can install in the laptop, for there is no where for it to be installed. Any processor upgrade won't be nearly enough to make the game run better.
You did not purchase a mobile gaming platform. You purchased an inexpensive Dell laptop.

There's your answer right there. Besides your memory and hard drive, the core components of your laptop are integrated, e.g CPU and GPU. They can't be upgraded, that's why you have to choose carefully before you buy a laptop.

Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
I want to buy the Dragon Age Complete Pack of Gamers Gate and I want to know if I will be able to run these games. Im pretty sure I can, but I am just making sure. Thanks. Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Probably Dragon Age 1 on low, but I'm guessing not for Dragon age 2.Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Dragon Age II is one of the best games i have played in a long time. I love what they did with the new combat. Mages are more fun to play now then they were in Origins and I love playing mages. The only complaint i would have is that you can not change the armor of your companions but its a very minor complaint. Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Check the the video card and computer requirements for the game. It can be found on the back of the box. From what I read, probably not.
I would say yes. I believe you may be able to run the game. Maybe not on max but yeah.

Why can't I use my spirit healer abilities in dragon age 2?
I am playing dragon age 2 on xbox, and I put group heal in my spell queue and it is always shaded and never let's me use it, am I missing something? I have the same problem with regenerate... I can use all my other spells....Why can't I use my spirit healer abilities in dragon age 2?
You probably need to activate a sustained ability to be able to access the abilities that branch off. Failing that, check your mana amount.

The vendors have different armor for your characters, but it's not like the first game... Only certain vendors have armor upgrades, and there are only a certain number available for each character, like I think 1 upgrade for Bethany, 2 for everyone else.
Some armor you can also only get AFTER you've accomplished different things, and have moved on to a new chapter in the gameWhere do i buy armor in dragon age 2 pc?
The best armor is found as loot, not in shops. Don't waste your money on it, especially in act 1. Just keep doing quests and looting all the enemies and chests. There are usually 1 or 2 good sets per act.

What game is a better game to buy: Dragon Origins Awakening or Battlefield Bad Company 2?
My favorite games are Call of Duty 4, Oblivion Elder Scrolls IV, Modern Warfare 2, and Halo 3. I have played the BBC2 demo and enjoyed it but I heard Dragon Age is like a role playing game like Oblivion and I love those. If I get to choose one of those games for free to buy what one should I get? What game is a better game to buy: Dragon Origins Awakening or Battlefield Bad Company 2?
i never heard of that dragon game but battlefield bad company 2 must be really good since on yahoo it said that it is better than halo 3 a best selling game by microsoft
Awakening is an expansion pack to the original game, Dragon Age: Origins. You would need the first one to play the expansion. Having played both, I would personally say that Dragon Age: Origins is the better game. But I love RPG's a lot more than shooters. What game is a better game to buy: Dragon Origins Awakening or Battlefield Bad Company 2?
Its not like Oblivion, its like Knights of the old republic or Mass effect but set in a oblivion type world. Its a great game with a good story, but its not first person and you don't directly controle combat like in oblivion. you tell them to attack and you controle there movement. You can select certain moves as you have enough energy or magic to do them. Just like Kotor
BC 2 is amazing online and I love the hell out of it, I would pick it over Dragons age any day. But if you wanted a good single player rpg then DA is a great choice.
If you play single player, Dragon Age. If you play multiplayer, BFBC2. Simple as that. Each are great in just, that way. What game is a better game to buy: Dragon Origins Awakening or Battlefield Bad Company 2?
Dragon Origins
for sure.
I've played and finished all of these game. I liked Dragon age: Origins more than another of the other games you've listed. If you have Xbox LIVE, feel free to add me. My GT is: "Overkill God"
Well, there isn't online playing for Dragon Age right now, so you if just want to go for single player with a good story, choose the DOA. Otherwise, choose BBC 2
Also, DOA is cheaper (the awekning is a expansion of the first game.YOU MUST HAVE THE ORIGINAL GAME BEFORE BUY IT)italian foods what is cloud computing

From what I understand:
You can run it on dx9, dx10 or dx11 on Max settings. Each of the Directx has different features. Directx 11 has tessellation features while Directx 10 and 9 don't. So i guess in your sense, yeah you need dx11 to have all the graphical features.

I'm in the second act in Dragon Age 2, and just realized that you can buy some of the upgrades. Is it to late to get the upgrades from the first act??Im in the 2nd act in dragon age 2 is it to late to get the upgrades from the first act?
The companion armor upgrades? Yes, it's too late :(. They only exist in individual acts, so if you miss them, you can't get them in a later act.

Can an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card run Dragon Age 2?
I'm looking to buy a new laptop, for school and entertainment purposes, and the website online says it comes with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card.
Does anyone know if this is good enough to run Dragon Age 2?
It doesn't have to be in best performance/detail...I just want to know if the card could run it at all.
Thank you!Can an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card run Dragon Age 2?
What are the amount of RAM and what CPU does it have? I'd say most likely yes, but on low/bad settings. I think you should look into a better graphics card if you want to run a game like DA2.
Also if you choose to purchase the computer anyways, try using "Can You Run It" online. It should check out your specs.
whats the ram and cpu like i have 4gb ram and amd athlon II x2 (dual core) along with my hd 4250 my hd 4250 will run probably the most graphically demanding 'games' your laptop will ever use secondlife it manages the ultra graphics setting plus shadows (though i keep it to mid graphics) fps is poor on ultra but it doesn't lag............ yet
you should have no problems with low/mid graphics on your gameCan an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card run Dragon Age 2?
it's can be done, but use the lowest settings and resolution.

whats the ram and cpu like i have 4gb ram and amd athlon II x2 (dual core) along with my hd 4250 my hd 4250 will run probably the most graphically demanding 'games' your laptop will ever use secondlife it manages the ultra graphics setting plus shadows (though i keep it to mid graphics) fps is poor on ultra but it doesn't lag............ yet
you should have no problems with low/mid graphics on your gameCan an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card run Dragon Age 2?
it's can be done, but use the lowest settings and resolution.

enough to play dragon age 2
Is it vital to import the Dragon Age 1 character to Dragon Age 2?
I never played Dragon Age Origins or Awakening. I watched game play videos of DA2 and it caught my interest.
I read a lot of the questions that asked the same thing and they say the game will start with another character. However the decisions that the player made from the first game will be imported.
If I start DA2 before 1, will the game make those decisions for me? Because I hate to regret not playing the first Dragon Age game before I start on the second one.Is it vital to import the Dragon Age 1 character to Dragon Age 2?
No, it's not absolute needed to play DAO before DA2. Bioware was nice enough to give three different pre-created files for you to use that says what happened in DAO when you start up a new game in DA2 if you choose to not import a previous file.

Naw, don't think so. But Pac-Man is a boss! haha, good game though, not much of an RPG player though.

Dragon Age 2 - How not to lose Isabella?
I'm playing dragon age 2 and i've already got Isabella on my team and romanced her too. Now i'm doing to catch a thief. I did it but there is a letter saying she is leaving. Is she going to come back ever? If not what should i do so she doesn't leave because i saved the game before i did the quest. I know she can leave like 3 times during the ending of act 2 what choices should i make so she doesn't leave can anyone tell me please?Dragon Age 2 - How not to lose Isabella?
As long as you had her friendship above 50% and you did a mission where you talked to her at the Hanged Man during Act 2 (called her mid-stage relationship quest), she should return to you during the end of Act 2.

What did you think of Dragon Age 2?
So I haven't played the first Dragon Age, and Dragon Age 2 looks cool, but I don't know. I've heard people say that it's not as good as the first one, but I wouldn't know that since I haven't played either one of them. So what did YOU think about Dragon Age 2?What did you think of Dragon Age 2?
It's true that DA2 doesn't quite live up to the original. This is where most of the criticism comes from. But if you judge it on it's own merit it is a fun game. I enjoyed it a lot and there are some things such as combat and character interaction that is much improved. If you are a fan of fantasy RPGs and appreciate a good story you will like this game. What did you think of Dragon Age 2?
I mean, depending on what your aiming for, graphics, gameplay, storyline, skills, items, etc. the second one's good, but the first one had more excitement cuz it was original, the second one was good, but to me, it felt like the first one was better because i hadn't expected it. and also dragon age 1 origins and dragon age 1 origins awakening are different too so you got to think about 3 of them :p, look online of the differences between the 3 and look at some youtube vids or something, you'll prob get a better idea of which one you wanna buyWhat did you think of Dragon Age 2?
It was pretty good. I didnt get to beat it because it got to hard. The graphics are good, combat is pretty good and the storyline is great. I actually liked DA 2 better than DA 1.

Can Dragon Age 2 be compared to Assassin's Creed saga? Which is more good? Is Witcher 2 a good game?
I saw dragon age 2 trailer. It is a mindblowing trailer. Is the game just like the trailer? Can Dragon Age 2 be compared to Assassin's Creed saga? Which is more good? Is Witcher 2 a good game?
Dragon Age 2 is not like Assassin's creed at all. Dragon Age 2 is a role playing game, so character customization, conversations, character relationships and decisions have much more of a larger role than in the Assassin's Creed games. They're great series, but they're definitely not comparable.
If I was forced to choose, however, I would definitely choose Dragon Age 2. It's a much deeper gameplay experience. However, if you haven't played the first Dragon Age game, I would recommend it above Dragon Age 2. It's a better game.
And yes, Witcher 2 is a good game as well. Can Dragon Age 2 be compared to Assassin's Creed saga? Which is more good? Is Witcher 2 a good game?
You cant really compare the two, they are two different genres and both have their own gameplay that arent very similar. Both are good, but in the long run, Assassins Creed was more fun for myself. And witcher 2 is a very good game. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an Adventure/RPG type of game.
EDIT: the game is different from the mage trailer. Just an FYI.sailboats for sale infiniti g37

Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
I'm playing through Dragon Age Origins, and only have the "A Paragon of Her Kind" left to do before the Landsmeet, and I plan to play Dragon Age Origins Awakening too. I just got Dead Space 2 today, and I really want to play it. Should I just finish the game, or play Dead Space 2 and come back to Dragon Age Origins later?Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
Just play ds2. if you're anything like me you'll just end up playing your way through dragon age, thinking about how excited you are to play dead space so that by the time you actually DO play it you'll be so sick of it. Just beat it once, it'll only take a few days probably.Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
Play both ha ha, you don't have to dedicate yourself to one game at a time! play dead space a bit then play dragon age whatever ha haShould I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?

Dragon Age 2: How to make the text bigger?

Will I be able to transfer My Dragon Age Awakening Character to Dragon Age 2?
I have completed Dragon Age: Origins and i have imported that character to Dragon Age Awakening. I was Wondering if i would be able to transfer my Dragon Age Awakening Character over to Dragon Age 2 or if Dragon Age 2 does not allow you to import your previous character? And if you can transfer, would it only accept a Dragon Age Awakening Character or only an Original Dragon Age Origins Character? Will I be able to transfer My Dragon Age Awakening Character to Dragon Age 2?
For Dragon Age 2 you will be playing a new character named Hawke. You can't import your warden, but you can import the decisions you made in both origins and awakening. Things like who is ruling Fereldan, what happened to the dwarves, the architect, ect... will all be mentioned in DA2.
So yes you can import your Awakening save in to DA2.

Should I get mass effect 2 or dragon age origins?
I'm thinking of getting a new game but I don't know what to get, either mass effect 2 or dragon age origins, what one do you think I should get and why?Should I get mass effect 2 or dragon age origins?
Listen to me, I have played and beaten both of these games and let me tell you, Mass Effect 2 comes out in the lead by FAR! The first Mass Effect game was amazing with it's cinematics, great graphics, awesome gameplay and memorable characters, you will fall in love. I call Dragon Age Bioware's little gift that they gave gamers until Mass Effect 2 came out. Dragon Age was nothing special at all, it had a lot of bugs, the graphics weren't good at, the characters were very stiff and it just seemed like Bioware just through bunch of things together to make it. And I'm not saying Mass Effect 2 didn't have it's bugs or problems but Bioware took that fixed everything and perfected everything and turned it into Mass Effect 2. Play Mass Effect 2 if you want something to remember, not some old fashioned medieval times/LOTOR style RPG.
Both games are great and they are by the same developer, so I advice you to get both, but if it's going to be only one, then the answer will be depending on your preferences:
1- If you prefer science fiction = Mass effect, if you prefer fantasy = Dragon age
2- if you prefer gun fighting = mass effect, if you prefer medieval fighting and magic = Dragon Age
3- If you played mass effect 1 = mass effect 2.
4 if you wish to play with more variable classes = Dragon age, although mass effect also has different classes, but the variation in the classes of DAO will also offer you different origin stories which mean every class you play with will be completely differentShould I get mass effect 2 or dragon age origins?
Both!
I have yet to play Mass Effect because I have a handful of other games I'd like to finish first but I've heard great things and I'm more of a Sci-fi kind of chick. Plus I'm more of a console gamer than PC but they don't have it for PS3.
DAO is really great. Different origin stories depending on your character's race and many different choices. The ending made me tear up a little.
Bioware is awesome. I recommend pretty much anything they've made. Especially Knights of the Old Republic!
@bluekatt: Actually it's inspired by Balder's Gate, i.e. D%26amp;D with a D20 based battle system. Just so you know, around since before WOW. Bioware was basing their RPGs off the D20 system long before WOW was released.
Mass effect 2, a lot of people won't like dragon age origins especially on the 360. Dragon age origins is awesome on the pc but terrible on the 360.
"Personally, I would go with DAO because Bioware has an awesome storyline/plot rep and they generally have really good games"
Bioware made both DAO and mass effect 2, not just DAO.Should I get mass effect 2 or dragon age origins?
i would get dragon age origins, its a long game that will keep you busy and has a lot of story lines to go by. also there are a lot of classes you can pick and a huge weapon selection and a long story line. ive played for like 40 hours and only 50% done.
Never played Mass Effect, but I didn't really like Dragon Age Origins.
It's hard to explain, but it's just not that good.
It's like mixing Turn Based with Hack N Slash, just a dumb idea.
If you don't mind pure honesty, and a little language, this guy explains it well:

get neither they are both over hyped and over rated garbage
dragon age is nothing more then a very violent lord of the rings rip off with a world of warcraft battle system
and mass effect 2 is an rpg which tries to be a shooter
just stay away from bioware games they tend to recycle the same game over and over again and are all hype and pretty graphics no substance
I don't know much about mass effect two, but I have a friend that practically worships dragon age origins. Personally, I would go with DAO because Bioware has an awesome storyline/plot rep and they generally have really good games.

No. The double XP was a special celebration for something. Can't remember what it was for, but it happened to everyone. You don't get anything for beating DA2, but you do get items in DA2 for advancing in and beating Legends.mediterranean diet recipes traffic cameras

Should I get dragon age: origins or borderlands or assassins creed 2?
ok i cant decide which one to get, i like rpgs and fps games. i liked fallout, assassins creed 1, knights of the old republic, and a bunch of other games like that. i have a few friends who will play borderlands with me but idk. im not sure if i should buy assassins creed 2 because its kinda short and the price will most likely drop fast. and a lot of people says dragon age is bad on the 360. any opinions on what to buy?Should I get dragon age: origins or borderlands or assassins creed 2?
If you like RPG's, I'd definitely recommend you Dragon Age: Origins. I don't know who told you that the Xbox360 version is bad, because it definitely isn't. Only the graphics are really bad, so if you're someone who really cares about graphics I'd recommend you Assassin's Creed II.
Borderlands is, in my opinion, more of a shoot-'em-up with an environment that strongly reminds me of Fallout 3. The game is full with basic quests and it basically comes down on one thing; kill everything that moves. Sure, it's fun, especially with more players (but since you have only a few friends who'd play it with you..) but I don't think it's fun on a long-term. (by the way, if you have friends who own the game. Why not lend it or play it there some day?Judge for yourself!)
Dragon Age: Origins is a typical Bioware RPG. It has a lot of depth and it's all about making choices. You can chose who to be, how to encounter situations and even have a relationship with some of your characters. The graphics and animations of the 360 version suck as I said before, but it's the gameplay that does it. Plus, it's a very long game. It doesn't have a single player though.
Assassin's Creed II is so much better IMO then the first part. The graphics are beautiful and you finally get a link with the main character. The basic missions such as "save the citizens" and "flags races" are still there, but not necessary anymore and there are more of those missions then before. If you liked part one, which you said you did, I'm pretty sure you'll like this one as well.
Personally, I didn't think it was that short. But then again, I did a lot of side-quests and didn't rush through the main-quest. The game could have so much more depth then it has now though, but it's not really disturbing.
Tough choices, I haven't played assassins creed 2 yet, but I enjoy both of those games. If you want to sit down for awhile and really get into the game, get dragon age. If you want a fast paced action game you can put down and pick up whenever you want, go for Borderlands.Should I get dragon age: origins or borderlands or assassins creed 2?
You will ABSOLUTELY FALL IN LOVE WITH DRAGON AGE ORIGINS!!! and its great on the 360, Its much more fun on it. Obviously im biased, do what you want, but DA will have you hooked and the story is like you are watching an amazing movie but yet you control the decisions which of course, have consequences.
Dragon age gets boring after a while.
Borderlands is alright.
I own Assassins Creed 2, and it is a GIFT FROM GOD.
It doesn't really get boring after you beat the game, because then you get to do side quests.
In AC2, there are 100 story-mode quests, and 100 side quests, which about 25 different mission types.
Its worth the buy.Should I get dragon age: origins or borderlands or assassins creed 2?
dragon age is longer
borderlands is better
assassins creed is out of this world
To be honest I'd pick Borderlands because of the online experience
AC2
A really tough choice man. Also, you have awesome taste in games. Now, lets break down the choices.
Assassin's Creed 2: An amazing game. At least 3 times better then the original. If you liked AC1 then you will ADORE AC2. It has all the best of AC1 with very little of the bad. I beat the whole thing in about a week but that was me playing for close to 10 or more hours a day (how my Box hasn't red-ringed is beyond me). Besides some slight issues (free running can be frustrating, some missions have annoying try-die-repeat style to them and no way to quickly travel from one end of a city to another) I honestly consider a sleeper hit and Game of the Year for 2009.
Borderlands: I have yet to play this but all my friends love it even though a few feel it gets really old after so many hours. Has a very Fallout quality to it and the game does look insanly beautiful with the cel-shaded graphics.
Dragon Age Origins: Yes, this game was built from the ground up to run on a PC. No, the 360 version does not suck. Just don't compare it to the PC version. Bioware are masters of the RPG and this is NO exception. While I do feel that the individual opening origin stories could use abit more variety (why can't I be a Human Commoner? or an Elven Noble?) the game is amazing. The battle system isn't perfect but the added feature of regenerating health, mana and stamina after each battle make for some tense fights instead of endless slogs of lowly grunts chipping away at your health till the big mother-lover comes out. Plus, many play throughs will clock in at over 70 hours. Do the math and you have a game that I do not think anyone will see 100% of.
In short, AC2 is amazing and worthy of a buy once the price drops, Borderlands seems like a very fun rental and DRO is a game that will keep you busy till the holiday season of 2012.

Would Dragon Age 2 be better to play on console or PC?
I want to pre-order Dragon Age 2 and i want to make sure I get it for the right thing. I really enjoyed Origins on the PC but i want to know if it would be different on a console. .Would Dragon Age 2 be better to play on console or PC?
Aside from what these IGN had to say.....
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1148鈥?/a>
I have demo'd both the PS3 %26amp; PC version of Dragon Age II. Here are the results....
Console: Great graphics, near identical to PC version (even with the PC's boost in resolution), and great framerates.
PC: Great graphics on high resolution, somewhat dull in colors (maybe my PC monitor who knows), but more important to note and unfortunate.....it was quite choppy in comparison to the console version.
Conclusion: The fact Dragon Age II was choppy on PC (even with my gtx 560 ti), and seemed more optimized for consoles (with the new menu and controls) pretty much made me decide to go with the console version. Take what i have said and what IGN had to say (maybe do some research too) and decide.
Best of luck.Would Dragon Age 2 be better to play on console or PC?
PC = more buttons available = more versatility with gameplay = more features = better experience.Would Dragon Age 2 be better to play on console or PC?
No, Practically everything is better to be played on the PC if you have the right configurations for it.

Does anyone know when the next dragon age 2 dlc is coming out?
I'm not expecting to get any answers considering legacy just came out but it wasn't as epic as it could have been and dragon age 2 desperately needs downloads, a dlc it defiantly needs is one that ties up the ending telling what happens after Hawke and his companions flee from kirkwall. Thanks for the answers and opinions!Does anyone know when the next dragon age 2 dlc is coming out?
I don't think it'll be too long... a few months maybe? But I honestly don't think that they'll do anything for after they flee Kirkwall. After seeing the way they ended the game with Leliana and the Seeker, I think Bioware wants to keep what happens after Hawke leaves a mystery. Just like the Legacy DLC, I'm pretty sure any future DLC will take place while you're still in Kirkwall.Does anyone know when the next dragon age 2 dlc is coming out?
Well,
A couple of months if Bioware maintain their tradition releases.

Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Bioshock 2?
Hey I know bioshock 2 isn't out yet but I have like $80 on an eb games card. Dragon age is supposed to be amazing but I just beat bioshock 1 and the sequel might be cool. I liked fallout 3 a lot if that relates to dragon age but what should I get and why?Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Bioshock 2?
dragon age is not that good. you would be better off waitin and buying bioshock 2Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Bioshock 2?
While dragon age was a good game, fallout 3 was infinitely better and thus, not even comparable to dragon age. It is a good game to rent, if possible, but bioshock 2 would be the better choice if you enjoyed the story and gameplay of bioshock 1. Aren't you curious to see what's happened to rapture after 10 years? Not to mention the new plasmids you can experiment with.Should I get Dragon Age Origins or Bioshock 2?
Dragon Age Orgins is a pretty good game but the first Bioshock was amazing and received almost perfect scores so Bioshock 2 should be better. It would be most anticipated game of 2010 if God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII didn't come out this year.
I am enjoying the hell out of Dragon Age. So I guess it's really a crapshoot. You can go by reviews , by comments here or listen to friends.
But in the end you don't really know what "you" will like until you try them.

Do you have to play dragon age 1 before 2?
Is it necessary to complete dragon age 1 and understand its plot in order to fully enhance the experience of the sequel dragon age 2 (when it comes out of course) ?Do you have to play dragon age 1 before 2?
if i remember correctly, it comes out in 8th march.
and no, there is no real continuity, so i say you may play in whatever order you want.
for example, if you import your character from DA to DA2, it only means that some decisions that you made in the game will apply (who is the king of the dwarves %26amp; humans and so on) but in DA2 you'll play a human character called Hawke and not the one you had in DA
Not required. They give you a lot of the background in DA2, and if you have not played DAO (or the Awakenings add-on), DA2 will make some default assumptions about how the Blight ended, the Dalish, Denerim's Alienage, the Circle of Magi, Ameranthine, and who is now King/Queen of Ferelden or King of the Dwarves.
None of these is directly critical to the story in DA2, not even in the case of Anders and Justice who become Wardens in Awakenings, and are severely changed by the events that follow the end of the Blight.
But Dragon Age Origins is awesome in it's own right, and therefore a good game to play anyway.Do you have to play dragon age 1 before 2?
Bioware took the approach that both games are self contained stories set in the same universe. As oppsed to ME where each game continues the story of the first. DA2 will give you the background information you need if you haven't played the first. They intentionally made it so you don't have to play the first. Basically, if you play the first you can import a save to have some of your actions mentioned in DA2. But since you play a different charactor and team, it won't have a direct impact on the story.
Dragon Age 2 starts during the timeline of the first game. It starts somewhere in the beginning of the first game and ends ten years after that. From the demo I got the impression that all relevant events from the first game are narrated by the character Varric. The majority of Dragon Age II takes place in a different country and the story is for the most part unrelated.Do you have to play dragon age 1 before 2?
You probably will be fine - it looks very self-contained to me...ruth chris dragon origins 2

Anyone willing to trade Microsoft Points for Dragon Age 2 Isaac Clark Suit?
I bought Dead Space 2 for my 360 and have one of those codes that Dragon Age 2 owners are looking for. I'm willing to trade if for a Microsoft Points code if anyone is willing to. I don't want the code to go to waste since I see people are paying anywhere from $20 or more for the code on eBay. If no one wants to trade codes, I may just give it to someone at random for free before the code expires. Please let me know if you'd be willing to trade. Thanks.Anyone willing to trade Microsoft Points for Dragon Age 2 Isaac Clark Suit?

What happen in dragon age 2 if you killed leliana in sacred ashed quest in dragon age origins?
So in one of my play throughs i killed leliana in the sacred ashes quest but i didnt finish that playthrough when i imported it to dragon age 2(so maybe she didnt actually die), and i still saw her at the end of da2.What happen in dragon age 2 if you killed leliana in sacred ashed quest in dragon age origins?
She comes back anyway. Some of the deaths were ignored for the sake of the story. For example if you got Anders killed in Awakening he still appears in DA2.

Can I still complete romance with Fenris in Dragon Age 2?
I'm playing Dragon Age 2 on PC with a female mage Hawke. I completed all of Fenris' quests in act 1, but he wasn't really strongly my rival or friend. I did the quest 'A Bitter Pill' and he came to my mansion right after and apologized, yet the option to sleep with him never became available. Can I still successfully complete romance with him or did I miss it?Can I still complete romance with Fenris in Dragon Age 2?
If you have been flirting the whole time and you never went after anyone else the romance should be active. Before you finish act 2 try pushing either his friendship or rivalry up to 50% or more. Then go back to your mansion at night. He should show up to meet you and you will get a second chance at the romance scene.

How do you get your dog in Dragon Age 2 with the Black Emporium DLC?
A code for the Black Emporium DLC came with my Dragon Age 2 game, so I entered the code and started playing. When I was playing I had a dog with me, but I decided to start a new game, and he's not there now. Is there something I have to do to get him?How do you get your dog in Dragon Age 2 with the Black Emporium DLC?
i have the pc version of the game so i don't know if there is any difference. But as far as i know you should have a talent that summons your mabari. You don't have to do anything to get that skill you already have when you start the game.

Where is the special dead space 2 armor in dragon age 2?
I entered the code on the site like it said, and was notified I unlocked it. But I'm in the 3rd part of dragon age 2 and I still have not even found it.
Where is it located?
I was told in the mansion in my chest, but I looked and there was nothing in the stash, and I also checked all of the other chests as well. Still nothing.
Where do I find my armor at?Where is the special dead space 2 armor in dragon age 2?
There are 2 chests in each house one is your storage, the other is where premium content is stored until you take them out. The storage chest are hidden in other rooms for some reason such as the one in the house you are currently at is behind the door nearest to the main living room.
that or it's a glitch and bioware is working hard to fix it. silly bioware not testing it for glitches.

In Dragon Age 2 can you get all of the companions?
I was wondering in Dragon Age 2 can you get all of the companions?
Also I'm worried about losing any of them by saying the wrong thing what should I do about this?
Also why did they change the look of Isabella from Origins? In Dragon Age 2 can you get all of the companions?
You will end up losing 1 or 2 at the end. Other than that u cant from what I've experiencedIn Dragon Age 2 can you get all of the companions?
With the latest patch you can potentially keep them all. You have to max them out on either friendship or rivalry depending on the choice you make at the end. For example you need to have Fenris maxed out either way if you support the mages, otherwise he will side against you. Remember that Rivalry isn't a bad thing, if it is at 100% your companions will stay loyal.
Isabela was a minor character in Origins and didn't have a very unique design. They wanted to make her more special and consistent with her back story for DA2. This is why they changed her. I actually don't mind, she looked kind of old and worn out in origins.

Is Dragon Age Origins worth buying if I started with Dragon Age 2?
I've bought and played through Dragon Age 2 twice. Will I be dissappointed with Dragon Age Origins since I've experienced DA2's graphics and gameplay? Is Dragon Age Origins worth buying if I started with Dragon Age 2?
Yes, I say deffinitly. I honestly really prefered Origins, and they really are completely different games. The only thing I prefered about 2 was the battle system, Origins isn't as fast pased but its similar. No tapping "a" needed too, which isn't as fun personally. But the storyline and characters are much better in my opinion.
Since u played 2 first you'll just be going "oooh" every so often in Origins when u meet a certain character, or a certain part in the story happens. Its a cool feeling. The game is so much fun, i would recommend it to anyone. Even if u played 2 first, doesn't matter. Not much spoilers anyway, some but not many really. All u know is "the hero of ferelden stopped the blight" thats nothing. You have to play it to experience it.
The graphics in DA: Origins are not as good as DA2 but then again there not all that different. They are better in ways where they better depeict some characters such as Zevran and Alistair. In Origins u can also be an elf or a dwarf if u so choose, as well as a human. You also have an origin story and depending on what path u take its always different. You can be a dwarf commoner, a dwarf noble, a dalish elf (also gives de ja vu moments), a city elf, a human noble, or a mage thats in the circle. Each path meets at a certain part, but all starts different and gives u a person that u consider a friend or what not in the beginning.
Hope this helps. I'd deffinitly get it, u wouldn't regret itIs Dragon Age Origins worth buying if I started with Dragon Age 2?
I'm more or less inclined to agree with Simon. I don't think it's a "terrible" game on it's own, but it's not a worthy sequel to Dragon Age: Origins.
DA:O is pretty different compared to DA2. From the standpoint of any RPG fanatic, especially the longtime ones, DA:O remains at the top above DA2.
Dragon Age 2 wasn't bad, but it lacked what made Dragon Age: Origins special. The tactical RPG feel was more or less gone and replaced with shallow flashiness, stinky streamlined inventories and streamlined partners, and restricted character builds compared to the first game. If you liked DA2, then you should check DA:O out to see how this all began. Is Dragon Age Origins worth buying if I started with Dragon Age 2?
I think the only thing that will disappoint you in Origins is the combat. Compared to DA2 it's going to feel a lot more slow and tedious. You also have to micromanage your inventory and equipment. Otherwise it had a great story, is much longer, and the choices you make can result in many different outcomes. It's worth playing.
Dragon age 2 and Origins are like completely different games. The second one took a whole different direction then the first one. And some people really prefer Origins to 2 but it depends on your play style because like I said..they are completely different. I doubt you'll be dissapointed with Origins but..thats for you to find out.

Does the Dragon Age 2 storyline continue on from DA Origins or is it a totally new story?
Planning on buying Dragon Age 2. I havent played Origins so was wondering if its a continued story. Thanks :)Does the Dragon Age 2 storyline continue on from DA Origins or is it a totally new story?
Yes and no. Some characters from Origins are returning in DA2, but mostly you don't need to have cleared Origins to enjoy DA2. You can import your Origins save to DA2 but you will still be playing as a new character, only few thing will be altered by things you did in Origins. So you can safely play DA2 without needing to have played Origins. But I sill recommend you play Originins too, it is a great game.
No, its a new story. This one takes place a few years after the defeat of the archdemon in DA origins. In this one the Templar order is falling apart and the opening begins with a templar women who has a dwarf brought in to question him about a champion who can save the order of the templars. As you play you realize that the dwarf joins your party later in the story and is actually your friend in game. You play as the champion who the templars are looking for. Although there are a few characters from dragon age origins that you will recognize. The first one you meet is the sinister witch of the wilds, Flemeth. You wont recognize her however because she looks way younger. If you got Flemeths black grimoire in the first dragon age and gave it to her daughter Morigan then you already know that Flemeth found immortality by casting a spell on her daughter, taking her youth. And that she plans to do it on Morigan. Wether or not she did succeed and take Morigains youth is unclear however because she leaves at the end of Dragon age one. I guess youll have to wait till tommorow when the game comes out to find out.Does the Dragon Age 2 storyline continue on from DA Origins or is it a totally new story?
New story, part of which overlaps the old one. Remember in DAO, you stop through Lothering on your way out of Ostagar and pick up Sten and Leliana. Shortly afterwards, Lothering is destroyed by darkspawn.
In DA2, your character starts in Lothering and must run from the coming blight before it's taken over. You run to the Free Marches while your DAO character was probably still sorting out the mages, dalish and dwarves. After the Blight is over in Ferelden, your story continues on with your DA2 character's rise to legendary status.
Some DAO/A characters make cameos, and Anders/Justice does join your party. But the storylines are mostly separate.
It continues the story but you can do without it.Does the Dragon Age 2 storyline continue on from DA Origins or is it a totally new story?
half n half some characters from the 1st come back and they all have story intertiwing with the first story

Do you have to play the Dragon age expansions for origins to understand 2?
I was looking to play the dragon age series and i was just wondering if you can just play the first game to understand the second or if you need all the expansions. is there references to any of the expansions in dragon age 2?Do you have to play the Dragon age expansions for origins to understand 2?
I assume youre talking about Dragon Age Origins -Awakening.
Nope. You dont have to. There is a major character in Awakenings who will play a bigger role in Dragon Age 2, but you dont have to play Awakenings.
In fact, some people skipped Dragon Age Origins and still got the picture in Dragon Age 2Do you have to play the Dragon age expansions for origins to understand 2?
The 2nd one makes allot of comments and things like that, that reference to Origins and Origins explains allot more about the blight and darkspawn and stuff than the 2nd one. The expansions don't really tell you about the game's story line unless u get the Coriphius Expansion. It tells you a little more about Hawke's past I suppose. Other than that though....i suggest that if you want to understand Dragon Age: 2 better than you should play Dragon Age: Origins and get the expansion for that one called Awakening to really feel Dragon Age lol XP i hope i kinda help....or perhaps I'm just confusing you........lolDo you have to play the Dragon age expansions for origins to understand 2?
You don't need any of the DLC or the Awakening expansion to understand DA2. All you get in the game if you have them is a little bit of extra content, but nothing major. The Awakening expansion does give you some more insight in to a party member named Anders and his backstory though.

Where is my Dragon Age 2 preorder promo codes?
I've preordered Dragon Age 2, in EB Gamea but I can't seem to find the promo code for the sword and the shield... Was I suppose to get a code or something?Where is my Dragon Age 2 preorder promo codes?
When i got mine,
there was a thing inside where the booklet is, there should be a piece of paper (if you don't have it in there, and you did get the signature version, you need to call them and tell them cause thats a mess up on their part.) that had codes on it, and one of the codes was shorter then the others. That's the one your suppose to go to their website
"http://dragonage.bioware.com/redeeme"
and create an account if you don't have one, though you need to use your xbox live's email that you want the codes to go through for (lol i didn't use the same email so i ended up having to go to the xbox website and make an account then download the gamer profile and yeah it sucked.)
:) so then you just enter the short code from that piece of paper and it'll instantly be here on your game , you can see if when you start the game and push extras the sword and shield were there for me. I'm not sure when you get them yet but it does say there should be a chest in your room in the game, i haven't played that far yet though.Where is my Dragon Age 2 preorder promo codes?
Its on the receipt, the salesman at Gamestop should have circled it for you. If the salesman at gamestop didn't do that then try looking in the middle of the receipt for a sixteen letter/number code. When you find it you need to go to Bioware.com and sign in to your EA account that's attached to your XBL Gamertag or your PSN.

Is there a way to start again with a character but keep his spells or talents on Dragon Age 2?
I have tried starting again on Dragon Age 2 on Nightmare, and it seems nearly impossible.
So could I start again with a character I have completed the game with, but keep his level and talents???Is there a way to start again with a character but keep his spells or talents on Dragon Age 2?
There isn't any NG+ option like Mass Effect. If you are on the PC though, it's possible you can find a mod for this. Otherwise, you could just play on normal for the regular battles to gain levels, and then put it up to nightmare for the boss fights.

I plan on Getting Dragon Age 2 And Divinity 2 The Dragon Age Saga from Gamestop?
I was wondering if anyone has any tips for either video game?
Please post an answer if you've only played one or the other.
I like Rouges so I plan on being that in Dragon Age 2 or should I change it?I plan on Getting Dragon Age 2 And Divinity 2 The Dragon Age Saga from Gamestop?
The first Dragon age Origins was a 9.5/10
Dragon Age 2 is a 7/10 at best
YOu dont have the open world aspect, the entire game takes place in ONE city.
Its still worth a play and a good game but in comparison to the first it falls short
Dragon Age 2 is generally easy, any class will work
I find mage and 2 handed warrior the most fun
Rogues can do the most damage thoughI plan on Getting Dragon Age 2 And Divinity 2 The Dragon Age Saga from Gamestop?
Well Dragon Age 2 is not very hard (especially if you download the items packs) It will take a little time but still very easy. If you have not yet bought it I would say that you shouldn't due to the repetitiveness and lack of detail in the environment.
I have to say that I did enjoy my first playthrough, but towards the end I grew tired of all the repeated environments. Bioware obviously did not put in as much effort into the game as the original. Without spoiling the game I can tell you it is really just three basic (but big) parts the Deep Roads, The Qunari conflict and the Mages Vs Templars finally.
BUT I have to say if you are a huge fan of the original you should consider buying it, BUT if not then maybe spend your money on another game.I plan on Getting Dragon Age 2 And Divinity 2 The Dragon Age Saga from Gamestop?
It may be frustrating, but you should play Dragon Age Origins before Dragon Age 2. You can carry over your save data and it does affect Dragon Age 2. Divinity 2 isn't that good of a game, though...however that's my opinion. Buy DA Origins, Awakening, and 2 first. In Origins and Awakening, don't charge right into battle. Queue up moves. And lastly, don't make all of your characters use the same stuff, like don't have 3 tanks. Have one person do one thing.
Other than that, you're good.

Anybody have early guesses on system requirements for Dragon Age 2 II and Fable 3?
Anybody have early guesses on system requirements for Dragon Age 2 II and Fable 3. I've been trying to get an idea and i can't find anything. Appreciate any help.Anybody have early guesses on system requirements for Dragon Age 2 II and Fable 3?
Hector's answer seems very inaccurate to me. Both Dragon Age 2 and Fable 3 can run on consoles so a high end video card is definitely not necessary. Dragon Age 2 runs on the same engine as the first game and the video card requirement was very low. You can run the game on entry level hardware. They say the engine is being optimized so the second game will probably run better on the same hardware (just like Mass Effect 2 which runs better than ME1).
The Pentium dual core is notorious for how crappy it is compared to the Core 2 Duo so the chance that they will even test on it is very low. The chance that the requirement for both games will be a dual core is high, but the Pentium Dual Core isn't as efficient as a real dual core.
My guess is the system requirements for Dragon Age 2 will be exactly the same as the first game:
* OS: Windows Vista with SP1
* CPU: Intel Core 2 (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
* AMD X2 (or equivalent) running at 2.2GHZ or greater
* RAM: 1.5 GB or more
* Video: ATI Radeon X1550 256MB or greater
* NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB or greater
* DVD ROM (Physical copy)
* 20 GB HD space
My guess for Fable 3 would be a Geforce 6800 GT or higher and a 2.0 Core 2 Duo processor or AMD equivalent. My GPU estimation is based on how often the 6800 GT is named the minimum of a multiplatform game.Anybody have early guesses on system requirements for Dragon Age 2 II and Fable 3?
My guess PS3 and XBox 360 for console versions. A high end video card,A Geoforce above the 9000 series, a strong processor, like a dual core pentium, and a few gigabytes in Hard Drive. I hope that they will put it out for the PC but since Fable 2 wasn't. They could change their minds and only release the console version again.

What setting does Dragon age 2 run at for the PS3/XBOX360 compare to PC?
When I play the demo, it look good, but when I see the demo for PC on medium setting, it also look good. So is dragon age 2 for ps3 run on medium setting? If so then I am disappointed. Can anyone give me the link of any info telling me what setting dragon age 2 ps3 or xbox360 is run on. Thank you, best answer gets 10 pointsWhat setting does Dragon age 2 run at for the PS3/XBOX360 compare to PC?
On PC medium graphics are the maximum setting when running on DirectX 9 class hardware, which is what the PS3 and Xbox 360 are. High and very high settings are reserved for DirectX 10 and 11 cards and has features that aren't compatible with consoles. So the graphics on consoles are at best the same quality as the PC version on medium.
The only thing I can't specify is whether the console versions run at medium or something lower than that, but it's certain anything higher than that is impossible on that hardware because the consoles were developed before DirectX 10 was released.fondue watch harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1

Can you create your own character on Dragon Age 2?
Dragon Age 2 isn't being released in the UK until March 11th, and since it's fairly new out in America not much information has be put up about it. So I was just wondering if any one from America who has already played the game could tell me if you can change your characters hair/facial features at the beginning, or if you have to play with a preset character that cannot be altered? Can you create your own character on Dragon Age 2?

Silver/White - Better than common item, usually has improved stats/ extra bonuses.
Gold - Very rare item, contains extremely good stats compared to the level it should be found.

Considering Brent Knowles, Former Lead on Dragon Age Origins LEFT Bioware because of Dragon Age 2, I have no hope for the future of this saga. As he said: "I'm not the same person I was when I started, and BioWare isn't the same company".
Here I leave you all the story and why DA 2 is a bad sequel (words of Brent Knowles):
"We were nearing the end of active work on design content for Dragon Age... there was still a lot more bug fixing/polishing/ and fill-content generation ahead but the core plot/writing and level design was finished. My work was rapidly shifting into that of reviewing what the team had put together.
Discussion on Dragon Age 2 began around this time and looking ahead I knew that I wasn't going to be satisfied with what Dragon Age 2 would be. Party control/tactical combat are huge factors in my enjoyment of a role-playing game as is adopting the role of the hero (i.e., customizing my character). I was fairly certain Dragon Age would transition towards more of a Mass Effect experience, which while enjoyable is not the type of role-playing game I play. Could I be the lead designer on such a title? Certainly... though if I were going to work on a game adopting a set-in-stone protagonist I'd rather work on something lighter, like a shooter.
Through a series of circumstances it was decided that with my not wanting to participate on Dragon Age 2 it was time to transition in a new lead to finish the Dragon Age console versions and ramp up for Dragon Age 2. I moved out of an active lead role though I stayed on for several months performing quality assurance and helping with the transition. I completed the game several times during this period and racked up the second or third highest bug totals... so, still busy but doing something quite different.
After this was over and the content locked down I took a sabbatical. When I returned to work I was hoping that there would be a new project lined up for me.
There wasn't, not really. I did some high level design for a potential new project but a few months later I realized that, given cutbacks and other things that it really seemed unlikely that the project I had been 'assigned' to was ever going to materialize. I can't/won't go into any other details other than to point to an old entry I made about this and reiterate: "I'm not the same person I was when I started, and BioWare isn't the same company. "
So I quit, giving a couple months notice to finish up my obligations on the new/hypothetical project and then in early September 2009 I left BioWare.

That should say a lot about why DA 2 is a fail and why DA 3 has no hope to be half good Dragon Age Origins was. For me, only Origins and Awakening are part of the saga. Every other product (DA 2, the FUNimation horrible movie called "Dawn of the Seeker", etc are only a piece of GARBAGE).
Mike Laidlaw is ruining the saga. He thinks the new combat is "Awesome" and the art-style "cool". For me, both are horrible and NO longer Compatible with Dragon Age (Origins/Awakening)
But "Dragon Effect/Skyrim" ---%26gt; A piece of ****.
Too bad, because I am sure they will use Morrigan as her "Ace in the hole" but if they don't respect what they achieved in Origins/Awakening: the immersive dialogues with no voiced main character, the different and extensive scenarios, the elf, dwarf and qunari lore, the charismatic companions, the mature art-style and "grey-adult" graphics, tactical combat system, isometric camera (PC version), possibility of changing clothes of your party... and The Grey Wardens, the tevinter mages and the Architect roles I won't buy DA 3.
So, it is very difficult unless they return to Origins and start making the game from there. Something that is impossible because of Mike Laidlaw's stupid ideas and EA. Goodbye to the Bioware I once knew!
Listen to the fans for the first time or Go to hell!

Dragon Age 2 did not suck. It was pretty good, but it was nothing like Origins. Yes I am very excited as Origins pulled me into the series. I hope your Warden form Origins comes back as well as The Champion of Kirkwall. I also hope for more character variety. What I mean is to give us more playable races. A new place in Thedas will be nice. All in all, cant wait for it.
Hope I helped some:)Even though Dragon Age 2 sucked, are you still exicted for and going to get Dragon Age 3?
Dragon Age 2 didn't suck anything but your mother's hairy sack. Dragon Age 1 + 2 were, and still are two of my favorite games right now, and I dream of Dragon Age 3 every night.
YES! Dragon Age: Origins is the only reason why I'm even thinking about getting Dragon Age 3. I didn't like Dragon Age 2 all that much.Even though Dragon Age 2 sucked, are you still exicted for and going to get Dragon Age 3?
No because it will suck even more than its predecessor.

Dragon Age 2 Signature edition still being sold at cd universe?
Has anyone else noticed that cd universe is still taking pre orders for dragon age 2 Bioware signature edition? Bioware stated that the only way to get this edition is if you pre order by Jan 11. So my question is, do you think this is legit? I asked customer support at cd universe but I don't think they are sure what the hell is going on.Dragon Age 2 Signature edition still being sold at cd universe?
they aren't supposed to be selling after jan 11th that's true, but a possibility is that they ordered a lot of surplus to sell after the date, so keep on asking until you get an answer just to be sure

Is there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
I was just wondering, because I heard that Mass Effect 2 has really bad language and some questionable scenes, along with Dragon Age. Is there any way to skip these scenes or turn down the language? Thanks to everyone who answers! Is there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
Mass Effect 2 has very little in the way of bad language. I can recall only a couple of places where a character drops the F bomb, and a small handful of S word moments. There is no nudity (there was the one scene in Mass Effect, but it was not full OR frontal) in either game, and in ME2, the scenes are implied, or just tender, but no explicit romances.
In DAO, there is no nudity, but there is an underwear scene or two and clearly implied sex. You can turn off the blood splatter, but its on by default: DAO characters spend a great deal of time covered in blood otherwise.
If there is a mod that simply turns off the romance scenes, you might find one at the Dragon Age Nexus (google it). Fair warning: The Nexus also contains mods to dial UP the sex scenes, and while there is no accidental way to install one rather than the other, don't click on any of the sex mod pictures and complain that I sent you to a DAO pr0n site :PIs there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
There is no language filter.
There are no questionable scenes. Fox News once exaggerated by saying Mass Effect is a game with full frontal nudity and having sex with anyone you meet. This news report had only one purpose and that was to sell some psychologist's book. They later apologized for this lie. You only see a sex scene if you want to pursue a relationship with the characters. The sexual content is very tame so you shouldn't worry about that. The sequel, Mass Effect 2, is even tamer when it comes to sex scenes. All sex scenes are optional. You don't want them, you won't see them.
The "bad language" is the usual. People saying F-words and S-words but that's pretty much it. It's not like there are any people who still haven't heard any of those words before. Swear words are pretty rare and nothing extraordinary.
Dragon Age is a bloody game. There is some intense and graphis violence. That's why it got a mature rating after all. The sex scenes leave a lot to the imagination. The characters have sex with their clothes on.
Violence in Mass Effect 2 isn't more intense than any other M-rated game.

How to uninstall the DLC in Dragon Age 2?
For some reason I need to uninstall the DLC in Dragon Age 2. I tried to disable it then delete it from the directory folder. However, when I try to load my last saved game, errors occur that it cannot load because the DLC is not installed.
So how to uninstall it in the correct way without having the error?
If, in case, I have to re-install the game, where is the saved file located?
My OS is Windows 7, if that helps. How to uninstall the DLC in Dragon Age 2?
First -- if you have not done so already, try using the Add / Remove programs utility in your Windows Control Panel. You can find step by step screenshots and instructions on how to do this at this reference site: http://uninstallmysoftware.com
If that doesn't work, or if the software does not show up at all in your control panel, then follow these steps:
- Step 1 - Select and download any good software uninstaller application that has a free demo or trial version and try that first. Most of the time the free version is enough to fix the problem - (there are some good ones listed at the link above).
- Step 2 - Install and run the free software uninstaller you selected and follow its instructions carefully - you will see a screen with a listing of all the programs installed on your PC; often more programs than those normally listed in your Add / Remove control panel.
- Step 3 - Find the software you want to uninstall, then select and click "uninstall". All good uninstaller software will do the rest automatically. This next part is very important:
- Step 4 - Sometimes you also have to clean up your computer's PC registry and remove leftover software keys from the uninstalled software after running the uninstaller. Some of the more advanced "pro" version uninstaller programs have this feature already built into it and will do the registry cleanup and backup automatically but some don't. If yours doesn't, then just use RegCure it usually works just as good -- you can find a free link to it on the reference site above. If your uninstaller software does have a registry cleaner built into it - be sure to use it !
